How to use Windows 10 Task View and Virtual Desktops

One of my favorite features on Windows 10 Technical Preview is task view. By swiping from the left side of the screen, I can see all the open apps and quickly switch as needed. Windows 10 goes a step further with virtual desktops. This lets you group apps in multiple desktops. For example, you can place Outlook, Twitter, and the web browser in one desktop, while you have Netflix in another desktop. The organization is up to you.

  • I noticed from some of the comments that this has got to be a few years old but I just started using a Nextbook with Windows 10 & while using the arrow to move around the screen & sometimes the screen will go into the task view screen even if I only have been on 1 site can you give me a tip to make it stop doing that .

  • This is NOT multiple desktops. This is moving crap around making it harder to get to. Multiple desktops would be having all your entertainment files and icons on one screen, and all your bill paying and banking stuff on another. All this is, is multiple HOME screens. Lame.

  • It must be horrible to write software for Windows since the Microsoft itself competes directly with you. I mean they make Visual Studio and yet once you do all this work they just incorporate it into windows bloat.

  • I think it had to do with the fact I couldn't click on anything on my right monitor.

  • Thank you. I appreciate the multiple desktops. It's a Mac feature that I'm glad made it's way to Windows.
